What Is AIRE?

AIRE stands for Air Conditioning Instruction & Research Education. Our purpose is to provide students, technicians, engineers, teachers and others in the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) industry with educational resources and technical information.

AIRE is hosted by Norm Christopherson currently an HVAC & Energy Management Controls instructor for a large international corporation. Norm has over 35-years of industry experience and has taught classes across North America to facility operators, engineers and sales persons. Norm has made presentations for corporations including IBM, Advanced Micro-Devices, General Motors, Ford Motor, Toyota, Coca Cola, Lockheed Aerospace, United States Army, United States Air Force, United States Navy, U.S. State Department and dozens of school districts to name a few.

Norm intends to use the AIRE blog to provide interested parties with useful and sometimes unusual posts regarding heating, ventilation, air conditioning, energy management and controls topics. I hope to include tips, techniques and useful short-cuts as well as posts regarding future technologies currently in development.

I will allow others to post comments and we can discuss the posted topics and industry news in a civil and cooperative environment.
